🌿 How to Create a Capri-Inspired Patio
Even If You Don’t Live on the Amalfi Coast yet….
This summer, I’ve been dreaming of lemon trees, sea breezes, and slow afternoons with a glass of wine. While Positano isn’t outside my door (yet!), I decided to bring a little piece of Capri to my own patio — and it completely transformed the space.
If you’re craving a little dolce vita in your daily life, here’s how to turn your patio or balcony into your personal Italian escape.
⸻
🍋 What Makes a Patio Capri Style?
Capri isn’t just a destination — it’s a mood. Think whitewashed walls, Mediterranean blues, lemon-scented everything, and details that feel both elegant and effortless.
Here are the key elements that define the look:
• Crisp whites and bold blue accents or Yellow stripes!
• Hand-painted ceramic touches
• Natural textures like linen, wood, and rattan
• Lemons, lemons, lemons (in prints, planters, or the real thing!)
• Greenery — rosemary, lavender, olive trees, citrus

🛍️ My 3 Favorite Amazon Finds
These are the exact pieces I used (or similar styles) that gave my patio that perfect Capri feeling — without the plane ticket.
1. 🍋 Lemon-Printed Outdoor Cushions
Because nothing says Capri like citrus on your seat. These add instant joy and a splash of Italian sunshine.
2. 🏺 Blue & White Ceramic Planters
These remind me of the hand-painted vases in Amalfi shops. Fill them with rosemary, lavender, or basil and let the scent do the work.
3. 🕯️ Mediterranean Scented Outdoor Candle
Close your eyes and you’re there: sea salt, lemon peel, and olive leaf in a beautiful jar. Instant vacation.

✨ Final Touches
I added a small bistro table, some vintage-look fairy lights, and fresh herbs in terra cotta pots. Even my thrifted glassware looks a little more glamorous out here.
The key is not perfection — it’s atmosfera. Even the smallest balcony can become a slice of Italy with a few joyful details.
